[Solved] Check Engine light flashing, engine stalling.

I've read through the Service Manual - ECM / IMMO communication is quite complicated and there's no quick "bridge-the-wires" solution. And replacing an ECM or the IMMO requires another procedure to enable their communication back.

You are correct - the errors don't seem to be related to the throttle position... unless...
there is something wrong with the wiring and when the throttle is pressed / depressed something interferes with ECM-IMMO data exchange, which then does in fact lead to injector and ignition to be turned off.

In other words: the reason may not be the ECM/IMMO, but something else interfering with them and then they in turn stop the fuel injection and ignition.

A totally stupid idea, but maybe worth a shot: check all the cables under the dashboard and over the throttle pedal - maybe something got tangled and gets disconnected?

I checked all vacuum lines today, and also changed the little red filter in the picture. It was screwed into the rear of the manifold and had a hose connected to it leading to the MAP-sensor. There were not detected fault codes during a subsequent 30km test drive.

I would check the battery connections, the immo code will be bogus, it only communicates at key on and if the main ECU power and the memory back-up don't come up in the right sequence you will see and error code.

Good day i am having similar issue with my jimny its gone to get worst over the few days,over 4000rpm vans runs hard under its sluggesh.On 5th gear on the highway or even 4th when i acclerate the engine lights comes on and stays on if i drive a 2 mile or more van fuel system shuts down completey ,i have to reset to brain for it to restart it takes about 5min or more before it resets its becoming a nusence and i am on the verge of selling the can but after reading this i wana change the filter to see if it works but in my country parts is very hard to get for these jimny whats the correct name of this filter ??
