Front and Rear bumper removal on 2012 Jimny was created by MrJinx
Apologies as im a newbie to the forum and Jimny ownership.
Can anyone help to find out how to remove the front and rear bumpers and if there is a workshop manual available (im not sure which version of Jimny I have apart from it being a 2012 SZ4)?
I want to Waxoyl the car from front to back and fit a towbar and so any advice is appreciated?
please be gentle with me as a Newbie?

second that, buzzweld is the stuff to get. also get a bumper stash of penetrating oil and start on the nuts/screws before trying to take it to bits!
mine is 2007 so (was) similar, from memory:
front:
remove plastic trim clips from wheel arch liner where bumper meets it only. remove lower plastic skid guard top screws (behind number plate also). also 2 screws underneath near anti-roll bar on the skid guard. reach under and unplug fog light wire (if fitted) at passenger side. might be behind wheel arch liner. open the bonnet and it has 2 clips onto the frame in-front of the radiator. lifts up and the clips come out.
rear:
screws behind rear lights and at top of bumper when the rear door is open, wheel arch liner as above. rear lights bodged on mine by whoever fitted the towbar so dont know if theres a plug for lights. the towbar itself bolts onto the chassis end rails. up and off once all screws off.
It is worth taking all the arch liner off for underseal along with everything else really. Spare plastic clips from ebay are worth having on standby. most of it will be plastic clips that come off easily, but break in the process.
Riccy.

Thanks for the advice especially about spare clips. Any idea where is best to get them from?
I already have a stash of 20Lof Waxoyl (Black and clear) so I plan to use that up and then fit a Towbar afterwards.
The car is only going to get used in the urban jungle and when the snow falls oop North to get my elderly mother and in laws out and about so I guess the Waxoyl can only help keep the dreaded tin worm at bay.
Thanks again
