Suzuki Jimny M13A VVT 2004 was created by Hammerman
Hi.

Just joined , thought it might short circuit accessing info. Hope that I have put this enquiry in the right category.
I want to check the timing chain tensioner- I've got a ' Workshop Manual ' on disc - just discovered it only covers Timing Belt.....
Has anyone got any links to an online description / diagram?

Done a lot of rebuilds / repairs etc on vehicles so that's not an issue - I just need to try to find some up front info to save me a bit of time.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cheers.

Joining this thread years late but wonder if anybody can offer advice on an engine 'rattle', rather like the sound of loose plastic trim but it isn't that. Other symptoms include; longer than expected cranking at start-up (esp. in winter), mainly happens when cold and the engine throttles back (usually disappears when engine is warm). A 3rd Gen 2018 Jimny. M13a VVT engine with only 30,000 miles. Done the usual such as oil change, plugs, battery etc. No Code or engine warning light but I strongly suspect chain tensioner to be the cause. Any thoughts or similar experiences? Help would be much appreciated.
