Sheared ABS Sensor Bolt Removal was created by JimnyUser
So I set out to change the kingpin bearings on both sides of my Jimny today and first came up against a rounded torx bolt on the hub cover but managed to get round that only to be stumped by a sheared abs sensor bolt which either a previous owner or garage has done, Anyone got any ideas how best to go about removing the busted bolt??

The sensor looks like it's held in only by its rubber seal. I would therefore pull it out, perhaps levering it with a fine flat bladed screw driver. Then get some penetrating fluid and heat on the bolt and then a pair of grips on what's left of the bolt.

Last time I rebuilt my front axle I had the same thing -
So I drilled into the sheared bolt with a strong drill bit -
And then...
Used a self-tapping screw to hold it in place...
Although in the end it was still a bit loose, so...
I tack welded it in place!

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI can see the bolt still in there so I'm guessing its holding it firm still. Yeah I was thinking of drilling the bolt out but might give one of these a go:-

Yup, still got a set of Easy-Outs from the days of Vitaras,,, removing sheared free-wheel-hub bolts...!
Once blew all 6 at once and shot the hub metres from the truck! :S
35" tyres with twin LSDs, a crawler box, and a Centerforce "on/off" Dual Friction clutch didn't help...!
LOL, happy days...

Take care not to snap one of those things off in your hole.
That would really spoil your day.
They don't drill too well.
