No you can't. You would need a centre diff in the drivetrain to be able to do that.

Gold Jimny the best colour (sold) :(

Big red Jimny 32" tyres, arbs, cage 5:1 transfer etc. (Sold)

Grey pick up Jimny

The best bet is to keep the standard vacuum hubs, assuming they work, and use 4x4 when you feel the road is slippery enough to require it. Manual hubs offer no benefit in this respect, as to use them correctly involves stopping and getting out of the car to engage the hubs each time you wish to use 4x4.

400 people will now tell us you shouldn't use 4x4 on the road or your Jimny will explode. However my thinking is if it's slippery enough that you feel you need the extra traction, it's better to use it and cause a little wear and tear than it is to end up in a ditch. Suzuki support this by advising the use of 4x4 in wet conditions (written on your sun visor).

I interpreted your question a little bit differently.
Yes you can, assuming the traction is slippery in some way, but more importantly you can leave the hubs "engaged" while having selected 2WD.
