No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIt's a small radio transmitter that allows you to tune in your car radio to it.
Your mp3 or other gadget plugs in to it and it plugs in to your cigarette lighter socket.
Some have the plug actually part of the transmitter so it sits on your dash etc.
The Jimny is a bit cramped so you might find the first example more flexible in where you put it?
It does not physically attach to your radio.
It usually says to tune your radio to 87.5 fm or similar.
They do work despite others saying they don't.

Yes they all have a standard 3.5 jack socket so you can plug most devices in even a phone if you have music on it.
I used one with an an SD card slot and have used the transmitter on a number of cars with no problem.
You need to tune in your radio to unused frequencies so it doesn't clash with local and national radio stations.
That is why they usually come ready set on 87.5 although you can change this if required but it's worked for me from Cornwall to the very North of Scotland.
In cities you sometimes get the lower channels clogged with local stations but mostly the bottom end around 87.5 is fine,
Just use one of your radio preset buttons on 87.5.
The only time you might get interference is at traffic lights if the car next to you is also using one but as soon as you move it goes back to normal as the range is only a couple of metres.

Just get an adaptor for a Double DIN stereo off the interweb and get any leads required too, then pop to Halfords and buy a suitable head unit that has a 3.5mm jack socket and fit it yourself.

Both the OP Tigerlilybet and Wombat have said they can't afford new head units so that option is not on the cards.
Having said that basic units are getting cheaper so in the longer term it's the better solution. ;)
