It should be fine. It's only reading the sensor data, presumably for volume control?

It's a GPS unit, apparently it needs the data to calculate speed in areas where GPS signal cannot be received.

Good info funky driver. I have the disc with the electrics on it and have located the drawing with the connecters on it and the section showing the connectors but there does not seem to be an actual circuit diagram showing the wires and where they go to!
Further reading and I have found the circuit it is C1 combination meter and is as Funky driver says yellow/green seems to go to the speedo.
