Tire pressure question? was created by 1066Boy
I know i am new to the world of Jimny but not to vehicles in general.
I cant get my head around the recommended tire pressures for the Jimny.
The book recommends 23psi front, 26psi rear i think. Why on such a short, front
heavy vehicle would you run lower pressure on the front?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Possibly to give a larger contact patch on the front, where you want most grip?
I can't recall any vehicle I've owned in well over 30 years that had higher pressure in the front than the rear.

My Alfa 159 runs at 39psi front 36psi rear, probably due to the heavy engine.
Unless you are running fully loaded all the time i would of thought that 23psi all round
would make more sense? With the Jimny being so short and a bit skittish in the wet,
would this not help with rear grip?
