Passenger window slow and reluctant to wind up- any ideas?

My passenger window has become very slow and sometimes when I go to wind it up I hear it whirring for a couple of seconds before the window goes up.
Any ideas what's likely to be on the way out?

Sounds like it may need some lubrication somewhere. It might be something as simply as the rubbers have dried out. Does it work better if it is wet or rained?

Try PTFE Lubricating Spray on the window runners it may help.

So.... Having to help the window up on occasions so it needs sorting!
Is it likely to need a new motor/regulator or just stripping and lubing?
Don't want to take things apart if I haven't got the right parts to hand
