Wheel Spacers- Don't want to go 32mm- go less? was created by hora
Is it possible? Say fit 5mm or 10mm to make it a max of 20mm wider? Not sure I want to go 64mm.
Is the 20mm wider stance pointless? Are generic spacers ok? (from your experience etc).

I would prefer 15 -20mm spacers but its not possible on mine as the studs arent long enough so it has to be 30 or 32mm with extension studs.
I was going to turn my 32mm spacers down to 27mm as that was the minimum I could go as the extension studs need to clear the existing length of the stud, but obviously a lot of hassle.
Dont bother with them now as the extra stress on wheel bearings and kingpins could cause premature failure

Imho jimnys look a damn sight better with 32mm spacers BUT for practical reasons I leave them off on mine now.
Although they might inspire a bit more confidence for road use, off road a narrow track(along with a short wheelbase) is better as there is less possibility of grounding.
If I were to use my Jim as a daily I would leave them on but as mine only seems to drive to pnp sites along with a bit of weekend driving to the shops , I can't be arsed to remove and refit them.
But you're right Chris, jims do look better with that wider stance
