Hi folks
After breaking the radius arm tabs off an axle due to rust (and tearing rear tow points off the chassis !) I picked up a non running Jimny (big ends due to no oil!) With only 30k and no structural rust
however the body is tatty externally, with various dents, surface rust, needs a new roof, cracked bumpers etc.
My plan is to put my body and engine into the new chassis and running gear.
Aside from the legal aspects (have v5 for both vehicles and will be sorted in due course) what do I need to watch out for doing a body swap?
Thinking out loud....
Remove bumpers and wiring,
Disconnect fuel filler, hand brake cables, interior trims around gear / transfer lever and wiring and brake flexi lines.
Engine bay, disconnect brake lines from master cylinder, steering knuckle, engine wiring.
Lift of body, remove engine
Any thing significant that I've missed?
Also for anyone that's done it, could lifting the body off be accomplished with a few blokes around it lifting by hand?

It's been fettled just a tad.

Only other things i can think of, Off the top of my head that are not on your list are,
Wiring to the transfer and gear box, Also fuel sender/ pump on the tank.
The hand brake cables are also bolted to the body either side underneath.
Clutch and throttle cable.
Brake lines to the calipers and rear axle.
Power steering res.
I'm sure there are more things that others will chime in with.
Lifting wise, I would remove all three doors and maybe the front seats.
You may get away with four people but six would be better, It's not so much the weight but the awkwardness of the shape, getting a grip on it and careful repositioning.
