I suppose it depends how they do the offset?...

Some will be deeply dished across the whole wheel, where as - like mine - they are dished in the middle, kind of like replacing the wheel spacer with the inner of the wheel being dished...?

Which brings me to a question that has often passed my (tiny) mind... what is the difference between an offset wheel and having a wheel spacer behind it... looking at that photo of my new wheels, surely that's just the same has having a wheel AND a spacer? The loading on the bearings will be the same? No?

Loadings on the wheel bearings and swivel bearings will be slightly higher with spacers or offset wheels, As opposed to without, As the bearing can't tell the difference, But nothing like the loading there under when cornering at 50 mph say.
The benifit of offset wheels in my oppinion, Spacers can fail (especially the cheap ones). When checking the wheel tightning torque, How many people remove the wheel and check the spacers are torqued, As the nuts are hidden with the wheel on.
It should remove some of the balancing issues as well, As the wheel is bolted up as intended without the big washer inbetween.
I'm sure there are a lot more pros and cons.

It's been fettled just a tad.

One less part (four fewer parts), in most cases its a wider rim. Spacers don't make any real difference to balance because they are a relatively small diameter and usually well machined, the tyre is what needs balancing. Spacers add slightly more unsprung weight but its not noticeable with a live axle.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

It's the mixed units that get my goat.

All I meant with this thread is......

The ones pictured/advertised showing the size and specs etc have a massive dish.

Just what I was after,

However the ones I received look weak with not much dish.

I guess the picture on eBay is just "library picture for reference" and all that bollox but still surely false advertising.

The company did say they would offer a refund if I sent them back but after selling the wheels on the jeep to pay for them I kind of stuck without them.
