Yes I think you could, the m16a tb is wider, marginally.

Are you talking about m13a with m16a tb? don't know about m13a engine with m16a tb but swapped m16a on running on m13a throttle body car started knocking so I blocked egr and added 1/2inch tb spacer car become smooth

Yes knock sensor was there and was replaced too but knock sensor didn't solve the knocking problem

how much is the difference? M13a and m16a tb look similar although. M18a one is different (different IAVC port shape)
