Difference between m13 and m16 was created by boby13
I´ve been wondering, what´s the difference between the M series engine? It is very hard to get this engines in Costa Rica, there are mostly M13. Someone told me that what changes is the bore. If this is true, maybe I can find M16 or even M18 pistons and do a DIY stroker... I know that further mods have to be done, like bigger injetors.
Has anyone done this? Does the crank, rods, cams, etc are the same?
Thanks!

so this means that it would be fairly easy to stroke the 1.3 engine by replacing some internal parts and the throttle body? assuming that everything else on the inside fits

If you fit the m16a throttle body the jimny will idle too high
