Loud klank a noise when engaging into 2nd and 3rd.
Got an annoying issue with my Jimny, whenever i just about fully released the clutch petal there is a loud klank sound like metal hitting metal, if not this then a thump. It happens in 2nd and 3rd and its not every time but it does happen rather frequently. The car runs and sounds fine. There is just this one issue i can seem to figure out.
My first guess would be a u joint or a busted mount,but it's strange that it only happens on 2nd and 3rd. Just to be sure about the joint...If in 2nd or 3rd you take your foot off the gas and let the car slow down in gear, is there any rpm at wich the car reverberates? If it does it the ujoint for sure.
Also,maybe there is a problem with the cluch cable or something that makes the cluch engage more violently
