hello all, have just fitted avm manual hubs to my 2008 Jimny, only to find that though the hubs are set to 4x4,not only is the green light flashing, but its not in 4 wheel drive either, whem hubs set to 4x4,and one wheel jacked up,the wheel can be rotated juat like in 2 wd,seems as though the gearbox will not go into 4 wd unless the vacuum system is working,or have I missed something, all the vacuu pipes are still connected, and with the old vacuu hubs back in place, the 4 wd is working again, help please.

You will need to trick the control unit into believing the vacuum system is working.

You may be able to do this by linking the 2wires to the vac sensor under the vacuum solenoids below the battery. Black and white wires I think

Can I ask why your fitting manual hubs if your vac ones work?

Cheers

I think I would as a matter of course James simply because you know they will be there when needed, everytime. I did mine as the previous owner reported them not being reliable.

I've only recent changes from vac hubs because I was at a p&p and forgot to unblock the pipes after the kingpins had gone and they got sludged up so modified it to permenant vac but that really messed the system so now using hubs I've 'manufactured'. If the vac system is working leave it working. Don't fix what isn't broke
