Hey guys,

I'm not planning on lifting my Jimny, but I like the idea of having slightly bigger tyres. I currently just have the dueller HTs and I'm planning to get either Goodyear Wranglers or Yokohoma Geolandars. I was just wondering if there is actually any appreciable difference between the 205/70 tyres and 195/80s? I understand the latter give a one inch diameter increase - is that enough to make any difference at all? And what are the pros and cons of each, or are they too similar to matter?

Thanks!

+1 inch diameter is +.5 inch ground clearance, which is a small but appreciable difference. Otherwise, there is not a lot between them. For a standard Jimny, off-road tyre choice is generally much better in 195/80 or 215/75 than 205/70.
