Afternoon all,

Hope you are enjoying the nice weather.

I have just bought a 2000 Jimny soft top and the aerial is missing from the outside A-pillar. I don't know what happened to it. There is an aerial in the back of the stereo but think that is for the DAB aerial on the inside of the windscreen but I don't know how that works (if it works, lol).

Is it as simple as replacing the outside aerial by removing the two screws on the mount and swapping it for a new one or does it involve removing any dash, steering and pillar trims? It maybe due to the DAB aerial, not sure. Either way there is no signal.

I am not technically minded but will give it a go :cheer:

Thankyou

Unscrew it then cut the cable tape on new cable then pull it through from under the dash above the trottle cable but only do this when you have a new aerial

Hi there, nice to see you with us.
I have spent every sunny day so far ripping off loose rust from the underside, treating the metal and protecting it with a chipguard.
You should have no trouble sorting the antenna; it's one of those 5 minute jobs that take about 2 hours.

As has been said DO NOT REMOVE THE OLD AERIAL UNTIL YOU HAVE THE NEW ONE.

This is because you need to pull the new cable through the pillar and you can use the old cable to pull a cord through to assist pulling the new one in

I can get the genuine Suzuki aerial if you need one
