Hi Iam new to this and thinking about getting a jimny but one that's never been off road and got standard wheels and tyres. does every jimny have a wobble or only ones that have been hard worked offroad ? or is it just the age and bearings worn out ?
its very off putting to think a nice Suzuki 4x4 has problems like this in 2015 ?

Any Jimny can suffer unfortunately.

And it seems to be sort of random.
There are articles on the forum about this. Some have found the three spoke alloys to be suspect, some the wheel mounting faces, some balance, some bearing/king pin and some just unknown.

I've have a standard trim 'Pavement Princess' now for over two years, it works well for me.
Thought I had wheel, wobble turned out to be a 'lost wheel weight' .....

I have an old, abused and worn-out Jimny with lots of play in one of the king pins and it doesn't suffer from 'death wobble'. It seems to be a luck thing. Remember that problems always seem 10x worse on the internet because you don't ever hear from the people that don't have them!
I also wonder if some people expect the Jimny's steering to be as firm and direct as a car with a regular steering rack, and thus mistake any slight wobble and vagueness for the 'so bad you are forced to pull over' death wobble.
