programming central locking fob was created by m6rk
Bought my jimny with one key, want another as a spare. I bought a key blank off ebay with a blank immo chip and the correct remote control type / frequency.

I saw one other post on here but the instructions dont seem to work for me was wondering if someone could help :)

I have one working keyfob which opens and starts the car no problem. I have managed to program the immo chip on the new key and get the key cut so it opens and starts the car, but I can't seem to get the remote central locking to work on the new fob.

Instructions are:

1. Confirm that the vehicle is the following conditions
- doors are closed
- ignition key is out of ignition switch
- driver side door is unlocked

2. Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery

3. After 30 seconds, perform the following procedure within 60 seconds.
a) connect negative (-) cable to battery
b) Operation driver side door knob switch from lock to unlock.
c) Push "LOCK" button on transmitter and confirm that are operated from lock to unlock
d) Push drive side door knob switch to lock position
e) Push "LOCK" Button on transmitter twice and confirm that all doors are operation from unlock to lock. With this, code registration is completed.

any help appreciated!! thought the central locking would be the easy bit!!

I have also tried to code the central locking from the new car, didn't work for me only thing I can think of is maybe the key was a replacement and wasn't a direct replacement in terms of the frequency as i have seen a few listed?

there are various frequencies and systems fitted I think. But made sure mine was the same as my working keyfob. Which is my case is an :ALPS 37182-A7 so i'm pretty sure it's the same frequency etc..

You have buttons to do that :woohoo:

I've got 3 genuine keys, none have buttons :P

I do have central locking but its key in the door and turn type, has to be the drivers door too.
