Just ordered one, :) thanks for the link.

With regards to siteing the sensor, had a look around the net and it seems most manufacturers seem to place the sensor low in the front bumper, forward of the rad. If it were placed in the mirror housing it will depend on which way the car is facing if the sun is out as to what reading you will get, remember the mirror housings on a Jimny are big and black and black readily absorbs heat from sunlight.

I'll stick to placing it as near to the road surface as possible out of direct sun light if the wire is long enough.
