suzuki jimny vvt gearbox ratio

hi all, ive recently come across this website when searching to see if someone would kno how much the gear ratios are on 2 seperate gearboxes

so basically i have a 2005 m13a vvt jumny with a knackered gearbox, and im sure your all aware these are hard or very expensive to get hold of, so i kno the earlier jimny with the same m13a non vvt engine gearboxes would fit but im told the gear ratios are different.

is there any1 out there that knos if the ratios would make much difference or would it be ok to just put an older style non vvt gearbox into my jimny, as i dont wanna buy 1 then it not work, lol

sounds a bit risky to be honest, what is the issue with the old box. I had some problems with mine and managed to strip it down and replace bearings myself. This was after be quoted £1200 for a refurb box

Unfortunately they are not interchangeable because ratios are very different
