How about checking the pressure swich its by the side of the battery by the vacuum pipes and is circular with 2 wires could be disconected or faulty sorry just re read and have seen you've done this already oops!

It might be the left hand side. Just take the glove box out for access.

No probs but it does not lock it in permanent 4WD. It is only in 4WD when the transfer box is in 4WD. Have another read of my post as I explain it in there.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Short out the pressure switch.
If this makes the light steady green then the switch is faulty, or there is a problem with the vacuum system.
If it still flashes, check the wiring to the controller from the switch, check that the black switch wire is earthed.
If ok, maybe a new controller is required.
