When I tried to adjust mine, I managed to turn the nut about half a turn and then just wound the cable up, then held the cable with mole grips but still no joy, didnt want to use WD or similar as the nut is plastic....any ideas?

Thanks all for the help, slackened it off and got the clutch back...grand! Took it for a test, under hard normal driving it was fine no sign of slip, that was driving harder than I normally would and as hard accelerating as speed cameras on the A12 would allow in all gears. So basically seems all good.
I did find a bit of road in an industrial estate I could push it harder and under max revs I could get it to slip in 4th, that's ragging it through the gears basically, its 1.6
So.....I'm thinking do I change it, its a 3 paddle cluch and about 6 months old, but I did get propper stuck in deep mud at one point a while back. I'm taking it down to brighton to get it lifted, its a bit of a way and just thinking maybe get it done if its likely to go
Any thoughts?
Oh by the way on the we question it was recommended to me and worked fine, the adjuster is only plastic so too much force will bust it anyhow I reckon
