use a scotch lock to connect to main beam wire then put your spot earth wire to car body/negative on battery

led and 4 lights at 5amp each, the mains are on a negative feed tho :/

Yes you need a relay and it wires up in the usual way except it is switched on the earth not the live.

If you are unsure, get a relay with a diagram on it's box from Halfords or somewhere and understand you need a permanent live to the relay activation not a switched one and an earth that goes to the earth wire of one of the main beam bulbs.

If you have fogs already you have a relay already. So then it's just a case of running a wire from the earth of one main beam bulb to the earth of the activation pins on that relay.
