Does anyone use 80/100w headlight bulbs? was created by NineCherries
Just wondering if the wiring/ headlight itself could handle 80/100w bulbs...... Purely in a hypothetical off road situation..... And not on a public highway officer.

Are the hids not obviously aftermarket. I'm assuming mot man would notice them tight away, how do "normal" bulbs fair even if they are brighter? It's something I've been looking into for the future, I wouldn't want to burn out wiring or melt the headlight

HIDs wouldn't work for street use. Jinmys don't have projector headlamps and as the focal point is way different with HIDs they'll only scatter light everywhere on dips. Everyone coming the other way will think your some idiot in a civic
Osram Nightbreakers are decent. And I've never found the Jimnys headlights lacking for street use.

I had 80/100s in an old car, they melted the light switch.

I've also heard of them melting plastic headlight housings and stripping the reflective coating. Stick to the 100w in the Spots with some sort of ceramic housing.
