Don't force the steering against the lock stops, something will burst :ohmy:

The reason it squeals when hard against the lockstop is the extra load on the pump.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

No I don't hold it against stops if it makes a noise I'll back it off, My van or x5 don't do it so thought there was somthing wrong.

Check your ps fluid level if it's low the pump can run dry on full lock which will cause the noise
