Right changed the electric operated transfer box to a good old stick shift but how do I 'trick the electrics' to allow engagement of 4 wheel drive?

Standard transfer box has a switch in it which puts te light on dash and switches solenoid for air hubs, shouldn't be too hard to connect the wires from your 4x4 switch to the transfer box switch ?
Of course I've never done it....lol

So has anyone else changed from Electric tranfer box to a manual stick shift??? If so how did you over come the Flashing 4wd and 4wd low lights and the soleniod to activate front hubs?
I have thought about drilling and tapping the centre of the air hub and screwing a bolt through so it pushes the inner hub forward onto the drive shaft and engaging the front wheels. This would make it engaged at at times but would not be driving the front wheels until I put the lever into 4wd
What do you think?????

Changing to freewheeling hubs would be a better solution as it would mean you can unlock your hubs and not have the drag of the front shafts/ diff/prop when in 2wd.
I'd try running some cables from the 4wd button to the transfer box switch see if it works - doesn't have to be fitted to the car....
