Yeah Im running a WARN VRS 9500lb winch with synthetic rope.
I reckon it could pull me vertically up a tree! Not keen on testing that out though!
Doing my 1.8L conversion next week. With that it might be time for a bigger starting battery

I used to have an Optima Yellow top in the range rover, I was amazed what it could do.
-8°C, frozen fuel lines (lpg converted but had to start on petrol), cranked the starter (in between breaks to let it cool) for over 20mins with no loss of speed or apparent volt drop.
However, when parked up I forgot to disconnect the battery and after a month it was flat, jump starting and driving about was not charging it, and when charged it would not hold the charge, I think fully discharging it killed it.
So great batteries as long as you look after them.
I would get one again, but will probably try an Odyssey pc1500 as like the look of it.

I've got an Odyssey PC1200 from the ORA in an (ABS) JimnyBits battery tray, with a T-Max saplit charge system (also from JimnyBits) to power my front (and rear soon) winch(es)... came highly recommended

Why not just use the PC1200 for everything? There's no reason to stick with the old cheap standard battery when you have an excellent quality Odyssey battery installed as well.
