Steering/Alightment woes was created by ATW1980
Hi guys,
Just recently fitted a new 4" lift kit on my existing 3" body lift.
After fitting, I sent it for a proper alightment, camber, castor, etc....
I have facing this issue, when I drive, and the car goes straight, after a bump or rough road, my steering goes to the left or right, there is a lot of free play. Any way to keep the steering always straight?
I have a steering stabliser and a steering extension on.
Anyone encounter this? Thanks in advance

Some proper castor correction arms and maybe a better steering damper!

Is there any play in the steering or suspension? I wonder if its a side-effect of having bearings in the front suspension arms.

I wonder if there is actually free play or if you are just experiencing bump steer caused by lack of castor correction.
Have you checked all the steering and suspension components for play or does it just feel like it through the steering wheel? The Jimny has a steering box which inherently has some more play than a steering rack used in normal cars. Lack of castor correction will exacerbate the feeling.
