Bought one of these snorkels off eBay. 301178637548
Was going to fit it today but offered up the template and all the holes except one nowhere near line up.
The main tube hole looks pretty much in line with the filter box inlet when it's offered up to the car so looks like I'm going to have to make that hole then work out the others from that.
Any tips would be handy.
I've seen the 'how to' on here And am pretty handy when it comes to spannering.

Hi. Fitted one of these to swiftys a week or so back. The template and snorkel looked just like mine which fitted no worries, so we taped it on and drilled the holes. Oops! Big hole was spot on as was the one closest the front of the car but the other needed re drilling or enlarging! It got worse nearer the door we got. Once bolted up it was fine though and looks well. Just a few extra holes but they were hidden behind the snorkel!

Aye, that's the same one I got!!!

"They fit perfect and look stunning, easy to install with very little alterations needed"

That's from the ebay listing, lol, not sure I'd agree with the perfect fit bit, but it does look good once fitted!

Maybe the "very little alterations" were the multiple holes that needed re-drilling.

If the large hole on the template for the intake is in the right place, Could you not cut that out and then offer it up with grease or boot polish smeared around the the rest of the fixing points so it will leave a mark on the panel where to drill.

It's been fettled just a tad.

Yes mines the same  . The big hole and front hole lined up but the rest were way out.
As long as I know that the big hole is correct I can mark the template with the correct holes.
I emailed the guy whose selling them he has said there is an issue with some of the templates and offered to replace it.
I guess it's check first, measure twice, drill once. Or maybe a few more times depending on how well you checked first :P
Thanks for your responses guys you've been very helpful.
