Wonder if anyone can help me.
I bought a central locking kit to fit in conjunction with a solenoid
(I can't access the central locking control box to wire it to that)
but can't figure out from the diagram (see below) which wires go where. I'm not bothered about the other functions just want the solenoid to go up and down.
Can anyone help

The top six wires on the main unit diagram are the ones referred in the three different diagrams underneath depending how you want to trigger. If you are a g13b engine I believe you need to fit a solenoid. M13a engines can connect the body control unit behind the ash tray area

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The safest method as j999pre suggests is to simply bodge it with a locking solenoid in the drivers door that pushes/pulls the rod connected to the lock button at the top of the door: they come with a U clamp type affair so you can adjust the movement. (likely there is one in your kit already, and you use the 3rd diagram)
That way you don't risk damaging any wiring/electronics.

Thanks guys
Mine's the M13A but I can't get access to the unit behind the ashtray so want to fit a solenoid.
I can see that two of the top six wires go to the solenoid, and that two appear to go to earth (presumably I can connect these to the metal of the door, but what are the other two that say <+>12v? Are they supposed to connect to the live battery terminal as well as the red wire?
Sorry, but as you can no doubt tell electrics aren't my strong point.

Cracked it with you're help.
Have got the door lock mechanism working.
Just one last question. I quite fancy wiring up the indicator flashing function. Can anyone tell me where to wire the two brown wires to?
Cheers

the green wire with a yellow trace and the green wire with a red trace that go to the indicator switch on the steering column. Take one brown wire to each.
