I took some measurements from the one that I have:
Extended length 16.25"
Compressed length 11"
I haven't yet removed one of my shocks for a comparison but the Astra shocks seem quite soft. I ran some current through the actuator and they appeared to get softer, as a simple test I measured the time it took the shock to fully extend from fully compressed, with no current it took 27 secs and with 0.5A it took 18 secs.

This one seems to be a fair bit shorter than the earlier type according to this information from Shropshire-Suzuki:
^ that is nearly 9.5" of travel which seems like an awful lot for an Astra.

Looking at that picture that looks like its from an astra van,normal hatch astra rear shocks dont have 2 eyelets,eyelet at the bottom and threaded at the top.that one in the picture looks about the same size as a standard jimny shock.

Thay are from a MK5 with IDS, I don't think the van ever came with an active-ride system.

ive got astra rears on the front of my jimny ... pin and eye fitting , long ,soft and cheap
easily handles +4.5"
you need to re drill the eyes to 12mm if i remember correctly ?!

astra shocks are way way too soft for a jimny tried them & soon had to be taken off & fitted some rough country I don't think you can beat them for the price
