Wheel Sizes

Only mod i have made is to run 205/75/R15 (General Grabbers) and to offset the increased height i fitted 30mm spacers to keep CoG similar.
All is fine with that, saw me through (an admittedly mild) winter with alacrity.
Wheels however are starting to look shabby so before i faf about cleaning them up i am looking at a couple of possibilities.
either a second hand set of allow wheels or some new steel wheels with an increased outset to remove the need for the spacers. the deep dish look this would give would also be welcomed.
Anorak section
Starting point was to understand what i have on the Jimny now. i believe they are the original wheels and are stamped as follows.
15X5 1/2 JJ 3.0 01/11 /55JK16
the first bits i understand
15 is 15" rim
5 1/2 is 5.5" rim width
JJ is rim profile (18mm high for 4x4 as opposed to 17.5mm for non off road - plus a few other subtle differences)
thats where my knowledge runs out
I am guess in the the 16mm is the offset but that's all it is, a guess.
so. the Anorak in me would like to know what the other codes mean.
once i know that i can start looking at replacement wheels with more confidence.
also if someone has a suggestion for an alloy wheel that will fit and look the part then (such as vitara wheels?) then i am open to suggestions to look for.
another part of the consideration re offset would also be rim width. Say i was to go for a 6 1/2" this would change the general arrangement and would need to be considered.
I like the chunky look but not really wanting to go into major mods or lifts.
Knowledge and views welcomed.

you state 'The stock wheels are 15" x 5.5 PCD with a 95mm backspacing'
the PCD is actually 5x139.7 M12 with CB of 108.4
the link you supply doesn't clarify the latter half of the code (3.0 01/11 /55JK16) which i suspect gives the offset information.
I also dont understand what you mean by 95mm back spacing in your note.
offset is measured either +/- around the Centre Line of the rim. therefore if there was zero offset then there would be 2.75 (70mm) of rim either side of the wheel centre.
IF this was offset by 95 mm (or worse 110) the the wheel centre would be outside of the rim which it clearly isnt.
therefore what does your term 'back spacing relate to? is this the position of the wheel centre relative to the back of the rim giving approx 25mm of offset. if this is so then that would mean that the Vitara at 110mm has a greater offset by 15 mm and would keep the outside looking the same as jimny stock but would be 15mm further into the hub which would risk fouling
does that sound about right?
Cheers.

139.7mm is 5.5", I think the exact backspacings are probably 3.75" and 4.25" (108mm) because the rim measurements are really imperial sizes.
Backspacing is the distance from the inside 'edge' of the rim to the wheel mounting flange:
backspacing and width are the only measurements that I've ever taken from a Suzuki rim, they are both fairly simple to measure.
The Vitara rim with 110mm is further into the hub so if the rim is the same width then the wheels stick out less, I found this a problem when I tried 6" wide Vit rims on my old Jimny because at full lock the steering arm fouled and ripped the balance weights from the rear of the rim. I only drove a few yards so I can't say if it will hit the chassis, others have used Vit rims without issue, stock Vit steel wheels are 5.5" wide, the same as a Jimny rim so I wouldn't recommend them.
