Check the routing of the handbrake cable - it could be pulling on at full flex.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Radius arm to axle bolts, holes in axle brackets will be starting to elongate, mine have and that's where the clicking comes from

On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.

I noticed when lifting mine 3" that the handbrake cables are tight (happens on Vitaras which is what I'm used to), so during the lift I have taken the loops off the handbrake cables where they bolt on next to the radius arm to chassis joint, and then positioned the loop behind the lump in the cable instead of in front... hard to explain, I'll get a photo tomorrow...

It's common on highly lifted Vitaras for the droop on the rear axle to make the handbrake cable go taut and apply the brakes as a result, causing premature [strike]ejac[/strike]... brake wear!
