Stuck bolts was created by Casey
Having ordered the replacement kingpin bearings I decided to bite the bullet this weekend and started on the front passenger side. Problem was when I got to the part of the guide that said 'remove the bolts holding the disc backing plate (and the hub) to the knuckle joint' it turned out the bolts wouldn't budge, even after a healthy dose of WD40, mainly because someone had been there before and slightly rounded the heads and a ring spanner wouldn't fit.

Oh and mine isn't the same as the photo in the guide (see below), as mines got a cog wheel at the back of the hub that reduces the gap to about a spanners width.

Has anyone got any idea how I can remove them and where I can get replacements?

Put it all back together and start over from scratch now remove the wheel undo and remove the steering bars remove the caliper and cable tie out of the way now take off the auto / manual hub and remove the cer clip on the drive shaft now undo all the 10mm bolts on the back of the swivel seal and undo the king pin bolts and remove king pins now the hole hub should come off as one lump replace kingpings and axle oil seal for the hell of it you may aswel as your in there anyway and repeat all actions in reverse job done in under 30 mins thank you please call again ;)

Thanks for the advice.

Are these the 10mm bolts you mean? If so they're looking in even worse shape than the four I couldn't get out, in fact they look completely round.

I'll have a closer look.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Obviously a last resort but very effective at removing rounded or damaged bolts. It would meen replacement of the bolt but worth considering if they do round. I keep a set in my toolbox at work, I use them for removing locking wheel bolts.
