If you bought a new Jimny today is it likely that in, say 10 years the parts for it will be easy enough to get? I get the feeling they're high maintainance' especially when they are of age!
I don't mean custom parts, but genuine suzuki parts which will wear out over the years!
Thanks

Mine is 14 years experienced and still plenty of parts available. The model is still being build so I guess it'll be ok

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Last year when I dropped my 2001 SV650, I simply ordered a brand new fairing panel, in the correct colour from Suzuki, and it arrived in 3 days, that panel/colour combination was only available 2001-2002, so they keep spares for at least 12 years after production, I wouldn't worry yet.

All of the usual replacement parts are available from aftermarket sources, water pumps, brake components, belts, bushes etc. There are parts that are main dealer only, however, Suzuki are parts bin specialists, all switches are used in many models, still in production today, along with engine components.
So I think you'll be ok for well over the 10 years they're obliged to make spares available for.

Don't worry about it, if you own a jimny to the point you can't get parts it will be so old, battered and rotten you probably gonna scrap it anyway
