Or it could just be a blocked cat. It happens and I've read it a fair few times over on this forum alone.
I think I'd be leaning towards this being your issue if I'm honest but to say that it is the problem online is tricky (sitting on the fence I know but how can I say that's definitely your problem).

on mine the cat at the manifold broke up and subsequently blocked the centre cat, the symptoms were a gradual loss of power and speed over a short period of time. it eventually got to the point where my jimny wouldnt go above 20mph!!!i thought the clutch was going as it wouldnt accelerate properly lol.
lay underneath and shake the cat, if it rattles badly chances are its knackered.
