Odyssey 1200 battery installation was created by jimnydms

Hi has anyone fitted a odyssey 1200 battery in the original tray? ORA said that they can easily fit in the original tray, if the black plastic tray is taken out I have left it too late to call them now and am just wondering if anyone els has fitted one of these and if so how and how have they secured it. The original metal tray is a funny shape so I'm thinking grind off all the edges/lips and then it's finding a way of securing it ratchet strap ?

Now that's what I'm talking about !! How did you mount that's cut out the old tray and weld this in ?also what did you do about the high amp fuses attached to the tray ?

I'd imagine it's in Dave's Vitara rather than his Jimjam. Am I right Dave?

Worse case scenario, get a Jimnybits tray for the other side. I'm not convinced it'll go on the original side!
