Cheers chaps

Well I went and got them, the MOT made me rush arrghhhh.

To be fair, I should have said what I wanted the tyres for and it'll be unlikely that I'll be doing any off road days in it. It'll be likely the only off road it will get is going up the farm track for the roof rack fitting and the odd bit of grass when we take the caravan on a pitch. Lol

So I think they'll be a reasonable 98 road% 2% snow and unpaved road :-/

Well we will see how we go with them.
Here is a pic of the tread pattern. They have lots of cuts in the blocks (like a winter tyre) and a slight aggressive pattern to the shoulders so I'm quite interested to see how they do.

I'll report back once they've been on for a while.

Ta

Richard

Cheers chaps
They're on now and look great! They look even better on the car.
Need some on the front to match now :-/
Looks like we could be getting the snow over from Massachusetts so may get tested soon :-/

I put the latitude Alpins on mine. they do look nicer than the bridgestones, kind of cute & chunky (I may be having a mid-life crisis though: I nearly bought a set of those headlamp eyelashes from B&M this morning, but they will definitely look gay)

My mother always used to say that when the East coast gets snow, we get it 3 days later, so hopefully no work on Monday :woohoo: and I can try them out.

The Alpins are directional: like tractor tyres they are fitted so the tread Vs point forwards at the top side of the wheel. The cross will be fitted with an outside, so you can swap them Left for right, I can't.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I had tested these tyres when the jimny was stock in many terrains! Michelin claims that the tyre are 65% on road 35% off road. In this category the tyres are unbeatable!! B) very good traction off road, better than many a/t and like road tyre traction on road!!
and some photos with these...
