Except I can't reach as it's up on ramps. Will see if I can get a chair to stand on tomorrow :-)

Your ramps must be huge.

Oh fella, that's the sort of situation I often find myself in!

I changed mine last year and used an adjustable spanner and only recently threw the old one away. I didn't think to see which spanner fitted I'm afraid but would agree with the advice of unplugging it instead. Just make sure you don't trap the wire in the wrong place when refitting the gearbox!

All sorted. From underneath, I went to drivers side of the box and had a feel around on top and managed to get hold of the wire which then allowed me to get to the plug. Really simple in the end

I have a set of jacking ramps and when fully up they are wicked. B)

I don't know if others find this but some of the Suzuki connectors are really hard to separate.

I think they all are, and I tend to break them due to getting angry. Trouble is they get brittle after years under the car so snap easy.

Does not help when your hands are cold as well. Often, it will suddenly come apart after tugging hard, with each hand smashing against sharp, rusty metal :woohoo:
