Radio died was created by Jonnie
Radio was working fine this morning but went off never to return when I started the car !

Have checked all the fuses in the fuse box located near the drivers right knee (after eventually finding the fuse box!)

Any ideas? Is there is another set of fuses? Is there an inline fuse? Was it an extraterrestrial pre-emptive EMP strike ?

Thoughts welcome.

Some headunits have their own fuse, either in the back of the unit itself or as an in-line fuse in it's wiring loom. Best bet would be to pop it out and get busy with a multimeter.

Must admit you have the same thoughts as me. Will have to get some of the daft little keys to take the radio out. - not a standard radio.

Cheers

Well

Checked more fuses ....... All ok

Searched high and low and found the radio removal tools so took it out and checked the fuse in the back of the radio ..... All ok

Faffed about with things and put it all back feeling non the wiser.

And now it works. !!!!!!!!

So quitting while ahead

Thanks for responses.

Mine is a bit temperamental (it's the newer style clarion unit) and sometimes refuses to switch on. It's a simple case of switching the engine off and on again, sometimes a couple of times before it works. Haven't found any problems with the wiring loom but for now the engine off/on trick appears to work.
