Im thinking of making a new exhaust for my Jimny as my rear box has a bit of a rattle. The standard setup seems a bit too long and fussy for my liking. Im thinking a couple of very short silencers mounted high up close to the body at the front then maybe a side exit? I want to keep it quite. What have others done??

I seriously considered a side exhaust...........I've done a few on "normal" cars in the past. In the end I decided it was not practical.

You could boar through the chassis and run it between the chassis and the sill with ovel boxes and come out infront of the rear wheel

Im thinking along those lines. If i put it under the chassis its just going to get squashed!

That's a lot of work though wouldn't you say?? Some muscle cars are like that and gorgeous it is too.
