If staying standard height get some belly protection! Transferbox guard is essential.

Get some breather pipes on axles, transferbox and gearbox, add a snorkel and go for a swim
Why a pug conversion? The 1.6 is a cheap simple job.

i like the idea of diesel,
all iv been used to is defenders, and my 90 trayback could wade anywhere.
just bought a house so the trayback went. and a jimny is the compromise
and i must say starting to enjoy it

As Gaz says just put a 1.6 in its much simpler/cheaper and makes it much better to drive on and off road, mine seens to use less petrol than it did with the 1.3

If you use it on the road stick to petrol. 4,000rpm at 70mph is fine in a petrol but in a diesel it would really suck!
