jimny coolant loss was created by jbs215
I have quite a bad collant loss at the moment, it on a sohc version.
I replaced several coolant hoses and also the metal coolant pipe and o-ring that come out the back of the water pump.
These were leaking before but are bone dry now.
Water pump gasket renewed and Thermostat gasket.
Not I have come to the conclusion that there were lots of leaks.
Are there any core plugs on this side of the engine (intake side)
Could it be head gasket or a cracked block.
Only leaks under pressure.
Thanks

Unless you can find an obvious leak it would be easier to get a pressure test done.
It's quite simple and should only take a few minutes to get checked.
They just put a pump on your radiator cap listen/look for leaks.
I don't know if any of the fast fit places do it but you could ask around locally?? Saves you lots of frustration especially if the leak is internal :)

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

Thanks for the replies.
I have pressure tested it a few times and can't track down where it is coming from.
Sorry to say but I have just been and pressure tested again and the plate at the rear isn't leaking.
Good tip though I didn't know about the o-ring at the back.
It seems to be coming from in between the front cylinders on the intake side.
