Hello all,

It seems I have the same problem as many have already stated here on the forums, which relates to the
camshaft/crankshaft sensor/s being faulty.

I've located the crankshaft easily between the alternator and the engine block but I can't seem to find the what most people regard
as easy to find camshaft sensor. As far as I've seen here on the forums it should be located on the front right of the engine block but I can't find it.
All I see there is a blueish connector with two wires but I don't see the distinctive shape of the camshaft sensor.

I'm attaching photos...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Boaz.

That must be it, behind the silver pipe with the blue connector.

It has to face the cam sprocket, so it is in the right place, it must unbolt and pull out forwards.

I think this is it, but I'm looking at a photo of a VVT, I've never seen one.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Hi facade,

I guess you're right about the sensor's position. This is what I was also thinking, I was hoping someone who has the same engine
could confirm that.

Anyways,
1. does anyone has access to the Suzuki EPC and can tell what are the part numbers for the cam and crank sensors?
2. While trying to get to the crank sensor I had difficulty undoing the alternator's hinge screw. It's an Allen screw as far as I can tell.
Any tips?

Thanks,

Boaz.

Ive got a sneaky suspition you dont need to undo the allen key bolt just the 2 at the top. Not 100% positive tho.

The service manual says that you should undo one of the bolts at the top (the one in a track) and the allen one that seems to be the pivot bolt. Can anyone confirm this?
