Do you know if your Jimny has been standing for a long time before you bought it?
Did you drive yesterday a "longer" run then normal?
That could maybe explaining why today yo didn't had problems.. i'm thinking maybe you did have some "condens" into your automatic gearbox and it could been "sticky" for some while.
It's a little bit the same when you do very short drive's on daily basis then also you can get "condensation" into your motor, that will show itselves on the inside off your oilcap.
You will see some "brownisch foam" in it, the water has not the time to evaporate completely and get's into your oil that is not on "normal" working temperature. When your motor makes a long run all the water gets out of your "heated" oil.
This could maybe also the problem of your "sticky" gearbox.
Anyway keep us informed ?

I checked today the oil, the color its something like brown but it a bit high, in cold check the oil level on the stick showed in the hot level.
I talked with a mechanic and he told me to start with flushing the a/t oil.
He explained me to disconnect the outlet hose from the gearbox to the cooler, put it in container , start the engine and start to fill new oil until the oil from the outlet hose begin to be clear. then reconnect the hose to the cooler and fill oil to the right level.
Tommorow i will try this method unless you guys tell me that method wrong .
By the way, I called today to the garage that maintain the vehicle and the told me that the gearbox oil was replaced 45000 km ago , may 2010.
The jimny was standing for no more than 2 weeks, i bought it 2 weeks ago.
Most of my use at the Jimny is usually between once a day every other day, about 10 km a day, once a week traveling the 40 miles or so.
I have not use it for long than 10 km offroad for now.
I hope my english clear, its second languge to me.

I dont think you would get the new oil in fast enough drain all the oil out messure it then fill it witha little less as you say it was over also try and find out if it has a filter in the gearbox sump that may need replacing if there is one
Run it for a week then drain and refill and so on for a few times
Also is the oil is brown and smelly its burnt out and a good flushing will be needed
When filling the box put the oil in then go though all the gears with the leaver and recheack it and top up if requires and some cars need the gear oil to be at a certain temp to get a correct reading

Today finaly I had time to replace the oil.
Something strange happens, Jimny automatic transmission has a dipstick with range for hot test and range for cold test, the cold test range is at the lowest point on the dipstik and the hot test is about 15cm above (correct me if I'm wrong.
Actually when the engine is cold, the oil is in the range of the hot test but with the engine warm there is no oil on the dipstick.
Someone with A/T can guide me if i correct ?
