Exhaust suppliers and quotes was created by GuardianAngel
The front pipe on my Jimny is rotten around where it meets the link pipe and needs replacing. I have two options. Get an exhaust and fit it myself, or take it to a garage. I thought I'd may as well get the whole lot done.

My first question is, are there any suppliers to can deliver to my door a standard exhaust system (including all the brakets, gaskits etc)? I have Google around but cant seem to find anybody who can do this.

Secondly, would a quote of £256 for a complete system, fitted including VAT be a good price? I have also been quoted £556 by National Tyres which seemed a bit steep. I wont even bother talking to Kwikfit as they are chimps. This quote was from an independent exhaust specialist in Reigate.

Thanks in advance.

£256 for stainless steel would be OK but sound steep for a normal exhaust
when I got my S/S back box fitted, had I got the whole system to the cat done, it would have cost me £240

dog taxi back box

Suzuki steel is absolute rot (being polite) hence, not much difference between the ebay systems and the OEM or parts supplier with respect to quality, just huge price differences

look for someone in your area that does powerflow exhausts

just my opinion mind you (and I've lots)
;)

There are a few Powerflow dealers around Surrey so I will check them out, cheers :)

There is actually a Powerflow shop almost at the back of my house. Never even noticed it before!

They are going to fabricate a section for me because the front pipe has completely snapped away from the join to the middle pipe. The rest is OK.

They quoted about £340 for a whole exhaust, but this will cost me about £90 which is fine. I can have the rest made stainless as and when it needs it in the future.

B) £90 sounds good, but £340 appears a bit of a jump, then we have had considerable inflation on everything and metal's worth its weight in gold and you guys down south get paid twice as much as us (because you're worth it as Cheryl says).

don't be afraid to get a price from another powerflow supplier and play them off against each other

To be honest the J is undriveable and needs doing ASAP. The next nearest one is Croydon so the cost of fuel and hassle of getting there would negate any benefit.

As for getting paid more, I must have missed that one

But thanks for the info earlier, has saved me a lot of hassle and cash :)
