I find 10w-30 difficult to find. Halfords stock it in castrol... Quoted as for motor cycles about £32 for 4L

10w-40 is far more readily available

I have changed the oil in the front dif of my Jimny to the 1.1 ltr however its not up to the refill level should it be or is that an urban myth? any help on this would be gratefully received.

I did both front a rear diff las week and they both take atleast 1.5 litres of 80w90

I also used the extending neck on a 1 litre bottle. After covering about 30k mileage, mainly on road the diff oil I fetched out was in perfect condition and I regretted draining it!
