When it was taken to garage before Christmas the realignment was sorted. Is it possible for it to have gone again so quick???

I only use it on roads. I used to have it out in the woods with my quad but only did very light off roading.

Cheers

I have this problem at the moment, and was told it could be the rear shoe adjusters. I took off the rear drums to find the shoes in good condition, and the spring adjuster mechanism like new (no sign of any mud or corrosion). I sprayed a bit of WD40 to be sure its was moving OK.

I gave the adjuster a few clicks and the brakes feel better when they work, but I still have the pedal going almost to the floor, and its getting mre frequent (so the car is off the road at the moment). There are no leaks and the reservoir is still showing fluid at the maximum mark.

I can only think its the master cylinder, so its going to be replaced this Saturday, so I will let you know how it goes.

I am, but my Dad can get trade prices still from when he used to be a mechanic. But I would still buy new as its too critical to risk second hand.

EuroCarParts online have them for £189 I think.
